Wildlife Collection Seed Boxes
Seedball
In a year where many of us have found a deeper connection with our outdoor spaces and the wildlife that inhabits it, we were inspired to create a collection of wildflower mixes that supports some of our most iconic British backyard nature friends.
Each beautifully illustrated box contains 6 wildflower seed balls, making for a wonderfully eye catching set and an ideal gift for wildlife lovers of all ages. Suitable for both expert gardeners or people with no previous experience of gardening. Grows well in pots and window boxes as well as in garden beds. All you need is a patch of soil or compost and some rain :)
One box will cover 1-2 pots. Use 6 boxes per square metre in a garden. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn. Collection sold as a set of 6 boxes plus an information card with details on each wildflower mix. Each box also includes a little insert with information on how to use the balls.
Seed Box Dimensions: 5.8cm x 3.7cm x 1.5cm. Each seed ball is just under 1cm in diameter.
Materials Description
We make the balls ourselves from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects means that the seeds are inaccessible to ants & birds, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout.Bee Box
