Hope the Whale Jewellery and Accessories Range for Natural History Museum

Crochet whale keyrings ~ these cotton keyrings are hand crocheted by women at the Hope Jewellery Project in the town of Cajamarca, Peru. The crochet whales are stuffed with offcuts of fabric from the textile industry in Peru.

Brass whale pendants and earrings ~ these are made by the women at the Flowering Desert Project in Tamil Nadu, India.

Tagua whale pendants and brooches ~ these are made by sisters Olga and Elisa of the Yurac Mayo Project in Quito, Ecuador. The products are hand carved from a single tagua seed, harvested from the tagua palm tree which grows wild in South American rainforests. It is a beautiful, natural and sustainable alternative
to plastic.
All products are handmade by marginalised female artisan makers in Peru, Ecuador and India, who are paid fairly for the meaningful work that they do and work in safe and supportive environments.

Materials Description

All materials are sustainably sourced as far as possible. Products manufactured with minimum waste and any waste is recycled. Materials used are fully recyclable.
