Woodpecker Wall Mount

Our Greater Spotted woodpecker, with it’s highly detailed and life like design, is the perfect addition for any nature lover’s garden.
At MetalMotif we strive for the highest quality in our local, British made products. To create our realistic motifs, we use wildlife photographs modified by us into detailed silhouettes which are then laser cut from 2mm thick COR-TEN® steel by a fiber laser cutter. The laser cutting process is extremely precision orientated and allows for minuscule details to be incorporated into the product, resulting in our gorgeous, lifelike designs.
We stand ahead of our competition by using an architectural grade steel, COR-TEN®. COR-TEN® is designed to rust (and famously used for the Angel of the North) – meaning our motifs will form a beautiful, rusted patina which looks fantastic. With a finish that continuously evolves over time, but not eroding or deteriorating away, the resulting product is a gorgeously natural looking gift that lasts a lifetime.
The product comes in it's un-rusted state, we do this for three reasons.
1. It allows the customer to enjoy the rusting process in their garden, as the patina develops over time the product will go from silver, to bright orange, to a red-brown.
2. It reduces mess for all involved as the rust isn't being handled.
3. If we were to pre- rust our products, for the volume we are now selling at, we would have to use chemicals to speed the process up, whish isn't very environmentally friendly.
The woodpecker also comes with a swing tag with COR-TEN® information, and a rusting timeline. We do not have other packaging, like a box, as we have found customers like to hold our products to feel the quality before making a purchase.
