Shaun The Sheep Plantable Children's Book

New for September 2023, we are super excited to be launching the first ever licensed plantable book adventure with Aardman's iconic Shaun the Sheep!

The story itself targets all ages, from kids to big kids alike! What's more, once the story has been enjoyed, the whole book can be planted in the ground to reveal the food for Shaun and provide benefits to the natural environment around us.

When the Farmer forgets to feed the sheep, Shaun and the flock take the opportunity to treat themselves to some home baked pizza. When word gets out that the best pizza is to be had from the 'Mossy Bottom Takeaway', Shaun and the flock have to take production to the next level. Once he has created the delicious pizzas, it is time to create some healthy food for Shaun, wildflowers. Simply tear the page, pop in soil, water and watch wildflowers grow!

For Willsow, collaborating with Aardman felt like a no-brainer, such an iconic heritage brand that resonates across the generations and not just the UK market but the international market alike. Aardman shares Willsow's goal of a more sustainable future for all. Aardman have had involvement in many sustainable initiatives over the years and it is great to see such a global entity championing a small business such as ours. Aardman has secured itself as a household name so to have their support on this project has been mega! For Willsow, it was difficult to pick a licensee that aligned with our brand values and it has been a pleasure to work with Aardman who have showed throughout their business acumen that this is not just a short-term win for both parties involved and there is more possibilities to be explored beyond the initial book. Aardman's brand personality has also aligned perfectly with the Willsow brand, nothing is ever serious or corporate round here and Shaun as a character embodies that to a T!

Overall, the partnership with Aardman is sign of further progress towards our brand goal of getting as many children outside and growing as possible. With a relatable character such as Shaun on the front cover, we are confident this will encourage many more children to interact with sustainable practices and reap the benefits of spending more time offline and outside.
