Why did you enter into Gift of the Year 2022?
We’ve worked really hard over the last 18 months to create, design and launch our Greens & Greetings. We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved so far. We’re already stocked in over 50 shops and garden centres, and we’ve had some great press coverage, with our products appearing in a number of national publications, including the Independent, BBC Countryfile, Metro, and My Weekly. We entered Gift of the Year 2022 to bring our products to a new audience, and to help our business continue to grow and develop.
Tell us about your finalist product or products?
Greens & Greetings is an eco-friendly card and water-tight plant pot all cleverly rolled into one great gift. It can be posted anywhere in the UK, and grows tasty and nutritious microgreens in just 2 weeks! Perfect to show you care, any day of the year. We launched with 3 designs, but we now have 9 unique designs, so there’s something for everyone.
Why is being recognised so important for your business?
Greens & Greetings are totally unique – there’s nothing else quite like them. Being recognised by Gift of the Year will help us reach and convert new retail and trade customers. Reviews and recommendations are two of the best ways to gain new customers, and winning Gift of the Year, which is such a coveted and respected award, would be an amazing endorsement.
How will it feel to win?
We were chuffed to bits to be shortlisted and ecstatic to be finalists. And to win – wow, we’d be over the moon. The competition is fierce – so many lovely, unique gifts – and so to be chosen as a winner by the industry experts (or public in the case of the People’s Choice Award) would mean so much.
Apart from your own products what other products in the competition stood out for you?
That’s a really tricky question – so many to choose from! I love the Bamboo Bee Revival kit and will be purchasing one. As individuals and business owners, we both endeavour to do our bit to help the environment and nature. If I spot a bee looking weary near home I always mix up some sugar water for it, but I love the idea of being able to help our dwindling bee populations when out and about too.
I love the Birth Flower bracelets too. It’s my birthday next month so I’ll be dropping a few hints…
