Seedball Herb Tubes

Over the last 10 years we've predominantly focused on manufacturing wildflower seed ball products, and promoting the importance of growing wildflowers for supporting bees and butterflies.

This year we wanted to go on a slightly different journey, as we're aware of the huge number of people who like to grow their own herbs, whether in a window box, allotment, balcony pot or kitchen garden. We've also noticed a growing trend towards integrated planting, where wildflowers, herbs and other garden plants are all happily assembled together.

Our Seedball Herb Tubes seeks to enter the market at this happy junction - a set of 5 common herbs which can be easily grown in pots or amongst a flower patch, and which are delicious for both us and the bees. The set includes Basil, Parsley, Chive, Mint and Wild Rocket, with each tube containing 20 balls of the same herb. They're really easy to use - simply scatter on top of soil, water well and nature will take care of the rest. One tube will cover a good 3-5 pots or a square meter of a garden bed. The card packaging includes a barcode, scattering time and full instructions, where we also importantly ask that some of the plants be left to flower for the bees.

The seed balls are manufactured and packaged at our Seedball factory in London, where we also donate our oddly shaped balls to schools and community groups.

The benefit of using seed balls is that by being encased within the balls, the seeds can be easily scattered and remain protected from seed predators during early growth. Without the need for complex gardening or expertise (or even the need to dig!), the Seedball Herb Tubes have a board gifting appeal to anyone with an interest in sustainable gardening, growing-your-own kitchen garden and helping wildlife along the way.

The Herb Tube Range is sold in packs of 21, either as a set of mixed tubes (the best selling option) or as a set of 21 of just one variety. They are supplied in shelf-ready point of sale packaging.
