William Shakespeare was born in 1563, he died in 1616, but his legacy is truly breathtaking. He may be known as the World's greatest dramatist, but his impact stretches far beyond the theatre; He is England's National Poet and playwright, but his impact is boundless. He transformed European theatre in Elizabethan England and his plays continue to enthrall - but his plots, characters and storylines can be traced through numerous modern-day novels and films. So too is our modern language influenced by Shakespeare - he created words and tropes that we still use today - his mastery of the English language was such that he continues to define our language to this day.

Once quoted "Shakespeare always has something to say to us", no-where is this truer than in Shakespeare's ability to insult. His razor-sharp wit and command of language gives nuance to his insults which are truly unparalleled. He is an inspiration to us all.

This giftware range celebrates Willaim Shakespeare in all his creative insulting genius, featuring many of his most powerful and thought-provoking insults from his greatest plays and sonnets. Handwritten in calligraphy in a roundhand italic font and featuring two designs - the first a silhouette of Shakespeare made entirely of insults, and a second simpler design with the insults written out.
