Messages of Hope

Emerging from lockdown, at a time when hope seemed scarce, Recognised launched a nationwide pop-up tour in partnership with John Lewis and Partners, titled ‘Symbols of Hope’. The tour commenced in April 2021 with the aim of bringing hope to people in the UK. We travelled to 21 cities with a giant 'Wall of Hope' which was filled with messages of hope everywhere we went. From young to old, the wall united people with messages which brought light and encouragement at a time it was needed most. One of our favorite moments involved an 11 year old girl writing on the wall ‘Stars can’t shine without the darkness’. Another moment involved two friends who had just been with their friend going through chemotherapy, coming across the wall and brought to tears by the messages of hope.

Having written a message on the wall, customers in return were given a Message of Hope card to take home with them. Each one had a unique message, the idea being customers would receive the message they needed to read on that given day.

Having seen how powerful these cards were, the idea for the Messages of Hope box was birthed. A beautiful box full of 30 messages - one for each day of the month, written to bring light and hope to each day.

These cards were created to help show love and compassion to people who need it most. Whether there for a friend struggling with their mental health, a family member walking through cancer or to yourself. Hope is powerful and can help get us through each day. Hope keeps us holding on.

The cards too are mixed up and each in a different order allowing for true moments of hope as the right words land on days they're needed most. We encourage customers to keep a stack of these and give them away as often as they're needed. They can choose to gift the whole box or a card at a time. We all need hope.

The boxes are available in 4 beautiful and bright colours and is ethically handcrafted with care by a team of talented artisans. We partner with a wonderful workshop that delicately crafts each Message of Hope box to perfection using luxury paper materials. The box is finished with gold foil stamping and customers can choose to add a name to make it extra personal.

10% of profits from this product are donated to The Recognised Foundation helping to deliver charity Recognition projects across the UK; from dinners connecting people experiencing loneliness, to monthly letters of encouragement to teenage girls. Each order comes with a special Recognition Card for customers to choose a project or they can pass on the choice to the person they are giving it to.

We could not be prouder of this product and the impact it’s having in people’s lives. Just today we received an order with a gift note for this product which said

“Dearest Claire, We are all with you, holding your heart. We hope these little messages can help to carry you through these days and weeks”

We believe that this product is worthy of Gift of the Year because it is not only beautiful, it carries so much meaning and makes a difference in the people’s lives it is given to, improving their well being.
